NPL Poker has arrived in the Great Lakes!

We've have had a few changes in Poker at Club Forster & the Sporties.

We have joined forces with the number one poker provider in the country at present - the NATIONAL POKER LEAGUE.

With their support and guidance we will be able to hold bigger and better events once again at both clubs.

This decision to change from APL was not made lightly - the main benefits for changing are as follows:

National Poker League are a Sydney based company with all major games being held in and around Sydney, so therefore is more convenient for our local players to attend major tournaments.

The NPL quarterly finals have a guaranteed prize pool of $150,000.00 where the winner receives $50,000 in cash.

The NPL have partnered with The Star Casino in Sydney and they are the first poker league to offer a $1 Million prize pool.

This tournament will be held in Nov/Dec this year. Our players will be playing to qualify for these tournaments immediately. Obviously, it is more viable for our players to compete in tournaments at The Star City Casino in Sydney as opposed to the Crown casino in Melbourne.

We would like to assure you that nothing will change in relation to the way the games are run at Club Forster and the Sporties Tuncurry. Basically, it is only a name change and the only difference is the branding of the equipment used and the prizes we can now offer our players.

Games are held at Club Forster on Fridays 7.30pm, Saturdays 7.30pm & Sundays at 6.30pm.

The Sporties Tuncurry has games every Tuesday at 7.00pm.
