Great Lakes Women's Shelter 'Let's Hear It' | Saturday 20th May | 6.30pm

Note: This event is being held at Pacific Palms Community Centre

THIS IS A CLUB FORSTER COMMUNITY SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT

GNO (and Friends) does it again, twice in May 2017!!!

Fresh from the triumph of a fundraising concert for Great Lakes Womens Shelter, Live Music at the (Coomba Aquatic Club) Gazebo in January, and the amazing concert at Tuncurry Beach Bowling Club in October 2016, the ever creative and energetic Girls Night Out (GNO) and Friends ensemble is putting on two shows at the Pacific Palms Community Centre shortly.

See the flyer  for further details, but there are two shows:

• A matinee on Friday 12 May, tickets $10 (including morning tea), AND

• A night time show on Saturday 20 May for $20 (including a glass of wine and refreshments)

How can they do it for this price???? I don’t know, but

hurry up and call Julie Brady on 0417171001 to reserve your tickets

This is a great time for a BIG Thank You for these selfless Great Lakes and Coomba Park locals.

The “girls” of Girls Night Out” are Merryl Marsh, Carolyn Green, Laraine Hattersley, Ros Scobie, Gail Faithfull, Linda Sinclair and Kaye Lewis Driver. GNO Friends include Pop Up Diva Colleen Johnson; music and sound gurus, Neil and Maureen Cooper; Songstress extraordinaire Renee Schneider, and MC Felicity Carter, and all are an integral part of each show!

These wonderful human beings are constantly entertaining “for free”: at community and service clubs, at retirement villages and aged care facilities, just to put some joy into people’s lives. They are gaining quite large and loyal following in the Great Lakes.

They have also produced and performed numerous complete, professionally designed and staged shows at many venues such as the sporting clubs in the Great Lakes and elsewhere.

ALL money raised goes to good causes: in 2016 they raised over $12,000 for Great Lakes Womens Shelter (GLWS), the concerts in May 2017 are fundraisers for GLWS, and their next big fundraiser planned later in 2017 is to benefit the Sweet Pea Animal Hospital Rescue Fund.

For the “privilege” of doing this, they dip into their own pockets to pay for their own costumes, wigs, music, travel costs and every other expense. They refuse to take one cent of the funds raised and every dollar is donated to the causes they support.
